Waking in the middle of the night and partying?
So, knock wood a million times, I have a through the night sleeper.
Goes down at 8PM, actually smiles at me when I hand him his lovie, close the door and he goes to sleep. Usually until 7:30/8AM.
I've noticed that anywhere between 2AM and 4AM, Nick wakes up, starts carrying on his crib - laughing, kicking his feet, singing, grabbing his toes for about 20 minutes, then goes right back to sleep?
Anyone else ever experience this? Is he really awake? Or is he having a party in his dreams? LOL

My girlfriend's DD does that at about 4am. She wakes up, babbles a little and then goes back to sleep.
When mine wakes up she screams - no laughing and giggling to be had.

DD just did that last night! She was talking away in there grabbing her feet. 20 mins later she was back alseep!
And she's a good sleeper too-I rarely hear from her after she goes down at 7:30!

This whole paragraph makes me want to hate you. 
My son will wake up in the middle of the night to party too, except he won't fall back asleep for about 2 hours. The first 20 minutes, he is ok on his own and then he will start to cry because he wants to party with someone. 
I wish I had advice. At this point, I am LOOKING for advice.

MAdison did this for a while but it was for a few hours and kept us up.. she would get up at 2ish and stay up till 4 it finally stope a few months ago!!!

Not that my guy has EVER slept through the night, but when he wakes, he usually just needs the pacifier popped in, and he is back to sleep.
But we did go through a period where he would wake and want to play, for atleast an hour. I think ours was around 26 weeks.
As I was freaking out about this new phase, I read that this usually happens when they are going through developemental spurts.... there is a book, called the wonderweeks that says those spurts occur around weeks 5, 8, 12, 19, 26, 37, 46, and 55.
If you google wonderweeks, there is some fascinating information about those periods.

Jack totally still does this. I don't ever go in unless he's crying. If he sees me....he wants me to join the party but if I just leave him be, he's go back to sleep on his own. The aquarium works beautifully during this process

One of my boys do this around 4AM. Pretty funny to hear over the monitor. He practicies some of his words and then laughs and sings. Then back to bed for an hour or two.
