wait, so, what do you DO with a Moses Basket?
I keep coming across them online...seem so popular...and cute But what do you DO with them?
Do you put baby in there like a baguette and go to a picnic?
I don't get it, but I feel I want one.

My cousins all swore by one and so I borrowed one for DC#2. We never used it because I really didnt get when I should use it either.

we used one for our DDs b/c a bassinet/PNP would have taken up too much room in our room. we used this in our room for a few weeks and then the kids went into the cribs. I also used it around the house some too. yeah, the kid can just sleep in it and you can easily move it around.

I used my Moses Basket every day with DD. I loved that thing!!
I would bring it with us when we went to family/friends houses too so she could sleep:)
She slept in it for months.
I can't get myself to get rid of it because it brings back so many memories
I do wish I would have bought the stand too but by the time I realized it, it was too late.

SAVE IT!!!! My DS is actually in mine from when I was a baby! My mom just changed the fabric! It is so nice to keep as a family heirloom!
To the OP: I love the moses basket! You can use it in place of a bassinet or pack and play... although my DS sleeps in hsi bassinet. I have the moses basket downstairs for him to take his naps in. My mom bought me the stand also, which makes it nice! I mostly use it for when i go to someone's house though. So much better for him to sleep in his moses basket than his car seat!

DD #2 not so much, but she wouldn't sleep anywhere but on me.
But still worth the investment.

Yes, or you can buy the basket & stand from Restoration Hardware Baby. It's  but I got it and LOVED it!!! I got neutral so I can use it for all of my future DC, and a friend is borrowing it for their baby in 2 months. LOVED that thing!!!

my mom had one for my brother.....he used to nap in it. At the time, there werent pack n plays, so as an infant, it was kind of like that.

They sell the rockng stand and moses baskets for great prices on Amazon:)
I slept with her next to me for a few weeks. She was on our coffee table up against my couch where I slept after my c-section.
Then I would put the basket on the floor at my parents, etc.

I used to use mine when DD was a few months old to bring her outside when she was napping. Now it holds her stuffed animals.

this was my favorite baby item-used it ALL the time. DD and DS napped in their and i could tote it around the house for whatever reason i needed. i highly recommend them to everyone who asks!
