Anyone planning on using a moses basket instead of a bassinet?
My first hated the bassinet and went right to a crib within a week. I was thinking that this baby might like a Moses basket better or a co-sleeper. Any opinions?

Re: Anyone planning on using a moses basket instead of a bassinet?
My BF got us a moses basket & it was a life-saver. He was so small when he was born, and the moses basket made him feel very secure. We used it until he was about 3 months old. I actually used it to carry him all over the house, since he hated his baby sling. It was a godsend.
My advice is to make sure that whichever one you get, make sure it is sturdy.

we hated the bassinet, not the baby and she was in the crib within a week.
A moses basket seems very cumbersome to me. One of my friends had one and returned it bc it was too heavy and awkward.

Re: Anyone planning on using a moses basket instead of a bassinet?
We had both. The moses basket came in handy when I first got home from the hospital. It took me a awhile to recover from my c-section so while I was resting my mom would take the baby downstairs and ds would nap in the moses basket. We used this for a couple of weeks for napping.
The mini co-sleeper we used as a bassinet until he went into his crib. Even once he slept in his crib at night he napped in his co-sleeper bc we could rock it.

We used the moses basket when she napped during the day and when we went to my mom's and mil's...i thought it was great! We used the bassinet at night in our room.

we used the moses basket and DD loved it!!! we had to stop b/c she got too big for it, but it made life so easy. she sleeps in the bassinet next to our bed now.

DS loved his Moses basket- as a very newborn he could sleep anywhere and he felt much more secure than in a bassinet. It was great- highly recommend it.
I ordered mine on line in green toile from baskets by wendy

We have her moses basket in her bassinet.
My bassinet is really big and she does better in the moses basket. I love it and plan on using it at the in-laws when we're there also.
