Visiondirect.com - anyone use them??
to buy contact lenses?
if so, do you recommend them?
the contacts on this site are 1/2 the price of what they cost if you get them from a store.

Yes, I used them once when I first moved down to FL and didn't have an eye doctor down here yet. I recommend them... they have great prices and they ship quickly.

So, I've never ordered contacts this way, do you just get a prescription at any eye doctor? Do the eye doctors give you a hard time?

do you remember how long the shipping takes? I saw that they offer free shipping on orders of $99 or more.

Oh and Kerry, you put in your doctors info and I guess they call and get the "ok" from them.

I've ordered from them. Yes, you have to enter the doc's info. When I moved I hadn't found a new doc and I tried to order, but my old doc denied me since I hadn't been there in awhile.

i use discountcontact lenses.com, never used vision direct. discount contact lenses is also very cheap and they carry the toric lenses i need for my astigmatism.

i just looked at this site, it's $4 more per box for Acuvue Advanced than what visiondirect charges. but that is based on 8 pairs or more.

Ok, so I placed my order yesterday evening & just got confirmation they shipped today via USPS. I am going to guess they will be here no later then Monday...I will let you know
