Virginia proposes ban of 'testicles' hanging from trailer hitches. Thoughts?
I am normally not prudish at all (as most of you who know me know first hand  ) but I think they're totally disgusting personally.

RICHMOND, Va. - It's one thing to dangle fuzzy dice from a rear view mirror, but decorating a trailer hitch with a large pair of rubber testicles might be a bit much in Virginia.
State Del. Lionel Spruill introduced a bill Tuesday to ban displaying replicas of human genitalia on vehicles, calling it a safety issue because it could distract other drivers.
Under his measure, displaying the ornamentation on a motor vehicle would be a misdemeanor punishable by a maximum fine of $250.
He said the idea came from a constituent whose young daughter spotted an example of the trail hitch adornment and asked her father to explain it.
"'I didn't know what to tell her,'" Spruill said the constituent told him before Spruill vowed to stop such displays.
"I said, 'Sir, I'm going to be a laughingstock, but I'm going to do it,'" he said.

eh--sometimes i think we're a little too pc in this country these days and the moment someone says "that offends me!" it has to get banned. its meant as a joke--and honestly i'm sure MANY MANY MANY people had no idea about people doing this until these whackjobs starting protesting about it.
(myself included)
seriously ppl---there are sooooooooo many more things out there to worry about

I've never seen this before. EWW>
While I think it's disgusting, and if they are considered lifelike could go against decency laws. I mean think about it, if I ahd one of those realistic sex dolls, could I carry it around in piublic unclothed? Well I'm not sure...does it violate laws against nudity in some indirect way?
I think it's completley trashy, disgusting and tasteless, but it's freedom of speech IMO

I think they're ridiculous, but ban them? That's a bit much.
Heck for that matter, why don't they ban people from wearing French Connection clothing? Their logo is FCUK.
That could be consided offensive too...

They're gross.
But so is Howard Stern and we can't ban him.
Unless they fall under some indecent exposure type of law... but don't try and pass it off under some "safety" law.

I don't like them, but I voted "lighten up". I hate the catch-all phrase "a distraction to other drivers". That's what you call it when you have no real basis to ban it.
I am distracted by Ferraris, Lamborghinis, BMWs, many convertibles, etc. You can't ban things just because you can't keep your eyes on the road...

I think they are gross, but to ban them is a bit extreme.. Remember back a few years ago when Opie & Anthony had WOW!? I seen bumper stickers with WOW galore! I didn't get offended, but I remember having to explain to my little sister what it meant. You cant ban things like that. it goes against peoples constitutional rights of free speech. Should we should ban the bumber stickers that say "NO Hell-ary" because it offends democrats?

Maybe if you had a police escort with lots of flashing lights, people could avert their eyes and not be distracted.
