I really want to know what happened to this kid-- was he just deranged, or did some experience make him this way?
I can't believe the media has not gotten to his family yet or uncovered anything about his past.
That much hate is just not normal.
I heard that he may have had something up with his brain-- in his frontal lobe which causes him to lose control of his impulses.

I agree. And, to take it one step further, I guarantee, GUARANTEE there will be a copycat in the near future, due to all this news coverage of him, INSTEAD OF THE VICTIMS. I really think the news stations have some degree of liability in sweeping this stuff across the country. We should all be concentrating on the victims here, not the murderer

I agree-- they had a guy on Primetime last night who said that the fact that the media is touting all the #'s and the sheer record breaking nature of the shooting, will in fact incent people to try to top it.
I mean, I know we live in a free country and all-- but, I feel like there needs to be more responsibility out there.

I saw a clip of that later on in the day - I couldn't believe that! That poor girl...to have to go through the whole horrible ordeal all over again.

I completely agree - before the names of the victims were even released, the news networks had already repackaged this tragedy as the Massacre at VA Tech and had cinematic montages of images (all focusing on the violence, sounds of gunshots, etc.) with a soundtrack - and now they put this guy's photo and video on the air - which is exactly what he wanted. I wish they would focus on the victims and not sensationalize this horrible tragedy. I dont know how one can necessarily broadcast this kind of thing without sensationalizing it to some degree - but I really think this is too much.
