very new at this

Hi ladies~ I was at the store yesterday looking at all the kits to tell ovulation time...the pee on a sticks... and I had NO CLUE as to which to pick or which was the best..etc.

Anyone have any recommmendations? Are they even useful? TIA!

If money isn't tight, I'd buy the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor. It will cost about $200, but takes a lot of the guess work out of the process.

I use the Target Brand sticks - they work just fine.
Some girls get the Dollar Tree ones too, which also work (but I think are a pain b/c you can't just pee right on it - you have to pee in a cup first - so not the best for when you're "on the go").

ClearBlue also sells regular sticks that don't need the monitor. They rated highest in Consumer reports when they did their last test, but that was back in 2003. I haven't seen any credible comparison tests more recent than that.

They dont work for me, but my best friend and my sister liked the CBE one's with the smiley face. They take the guess work out of it.

I bought mine at early-pregnancy-tests.com. I got the dip OPK strips, but they also have the midstream kind. They seemed to be accurate, were delivered quickly, and they are cheap!

i bought the clear blue easy fertility monitor from ebay for about $85, plus you still have to buy sticks, i like it but it was pricey
