very disappointed

My doctor only sees 4 follicles after 5 days of stimulating with Follistim and 1 day of Luveris. In past cycles I already had about 7-10 follicles with different stim's. I am so bummed right now. I know it only takes one follicle but I was hoping for alot more. I know that my age (40) and high FSH is working against me

I went through the same thing. In past IVF cycles I had 15+ follies and my most recent they only got 5 eggs. I was disappointed also, but I looked at it this way - Quality vs. Quantity.

I went to see my RE after 4 days of stimming and he told me that it's still too early to tell how many follicles I'll have in this cycle he told me to continue with my protocol and go back after 9 days of stimming and then he'll be able to give me a more definite answer as to what is going on.
He said that the only reason why he wanted to see me after 4 days of stimming was so he can make sure that I didn't have a dominant follicle in place already. He said that it's still too soon to make any conlusions! Hang in there and good luck!

I am with you I can only offer the same advice as what they tell me. Yes you only need one. Good lick and lots of dust. I hope with another few days of stimulation your numbers grow.::
