Very Confused...
Let me preface my post by saying this is my first month temping along with reading Taking Charge of your Fertility...AND I think I'm going crazy!!!
Today is CD 15 for me. my temp this morning was 97.53. What concerns me is the fact that for the past 4 days my temps have been in the high 97(97.97, 97.97, 97.77, 97.94) range. The book says when you see a .5 or more drop, you've ovulated and my temp should be rising soon.
On Friday, CD13, I had dull aches on my left side (which should be the correct side this month) and my underwear looked like I peed myself!!! Took an OP test and it was negative(a cheapie/morning and CBE/evening). Yesterday, CD 14, I also had that sliippery feeling when I wiped, but again, OP said negative(chapeie)!! This morning the OP (cheapie) said negative!!! I have gotten positive OP in past months. Is it possible to not produce enough hormone to register on an OP test?
Because I'm convinced I O'ed we  Friday and yesterday.
I've been off BC since Dec. '11 and have had between 28-30 day cycles since I came off, however, last month I had a 36 day cycle.
Thanks for reading! Any and all help is welcome.

first off - you don't switch sides of ovulating each month. its completely random. its whichever ovary produces the mature-ist follicle.
since you had a long cycle last month, i wouldn't be super concerned that you already ovulated. it is possible to miss the surge on the OPK but since you have been testing a lot and it doesn't look you ovulated yet based on your temps. also the .5 drop doesn't happen every cycle. sometimes it happens and sometimes it does not. also you should be looking for EWCM, not super wet CM. since it hasn't dried up yet, i would guess that you will get a +OPK very soon and ovulate in the next few days. at this point i would continue to BD and take OPKs in the AM and PM. once you get a + you can stop testing. temping will confirm the exact day of ovulation. good luck.

I would input your temps into a site like Fertility Friend. It will be able to interpret your data and let you know if you O'ed yet.

Also are u temping orally If so if you have a cold or allergies you could be mouth breathing which accounts for the drop as well. One day of weird temps doesn't matter you need to look at the whole picutre

I got my first ever  tonight! I guess now we should tonight, tomorrow and Tuesday??

It depends I tested for 2 days after because I was afraid because I had gotten false positives throughout the month. Plus it's a good thing I did because I got 3 days of smileys which means if I only dtd for 2 nights after the first I would have missed my o date which was 4 days after my smiley.
That being said the instructions do say once you get your smiley you can stop testing

u could have caught the start and end of the surge
so u prob o'd right after the 3rd and say 36 hrs after the first
the first one would not have been positive unless u had begun to surge,so the lst one could not be the beginning of the surge
if u r wondering about false positives that would be something to think about if u had PCOS and in that case i would not be using opk's anyway
