Verizon Fios billing issue
We had Verizon FIOS at our old house. We moved to our new house 2 months ago and canceled our service and they said they would send us the last bill. We get the bill in the mail and I try to pay it online but I can't because it says that our account doesn't exist. So, I call up Verizon and ask to pay it over the phone and give them my account number but they can't find my account because they canceled it, so technically we don't have an account there anymore so she didn't know how to bill us. She put us on hold to get help and never came back to the phone. We have called several times since and get the same thing, don't know how to help us PAY OUR BILL and put us on hold then eventually hangup on us.
What should I do? I don't want this going to collections, I just want to pay LOL.

pay by mail - but photocopy bill and mark the check number down on your copy of bill
