Vent/whining
I just need to vent for a moment. My DD is 14 months old, so we were relieved that we'd be able to reuse everything we have and not need to make any major purchases, aside from furniture.
After that heavy rain last week, we had a sewer backup in our basement. All of our things were down there. We lost 2 pack and plays, an umbrella stroller, my $300 breast pump, activity mat, foam play mats, tons of toys... That's not including all of the non-baby related items.
I'm just so frustrated that we're going to have to spend money we don't have on things we already had. There's no real point to this post other than to whine because I'm upset.

That's so rough! Between the insane snow from the winter (which has ruined half the roofs on LI) and all the rain we've had, I'm not surprised when I hear/read stories like this. I'm so sorry!

So sorry! At first I was thinking some of the stuff could be saved; but then i saw you said sewer backup!
Maybe look on craigslist; consignment shops; mommy swaps. There are ways to save on the big items.

That sucks!!! Your insurance might cover a breast pump--mine was free--and I got a Medela.... It's not the highest end one but it's still good!

Sorry you are going through this. Now that the weather is getting nicer check out garage sales for baby stuff.
