Vent about car seat inspecition site

GRRR, ok I'm getting ticked off now.

So, I've been trying to sked an inspection for 3 weeks now.

I've used the NHTSA website. Its so out of date, its not even funny.

First, the Brentwood Suffolk County Police Station DOES NOT do them. They direct you to some retired cop in Farmindale in which you have to go to his house. Not close and they should update this. He also was kinda creepy on the phone.

I've left 3 messages with the Sayville Fire Department (with the voicemail because I never get a live person). No calls back yet

Not sure if I feel like going all the way to Good Sam. I swear, this is not an easy task.

My friend offered to help, I may just ask her. Seriously, I can't believe how annoying this is!!! I live in Holbrook and don't want to travel sooo far to do so.

Is it so bad if I just have our friend help us?

it can be frustrating! we did it ourselves and had them checked when DD was a few months old. the one with LATCH was in just fine and the other just needed to be a bit tighter. we had it done in Nassau at the county offices. not sure if Suffolk has it too. HTH

If you can get to Good Sam., try to go there. They are excellent with the car seats. Not sure if they are doing them in the winter (they used to not schedule appointments when it's cold.) Sorry you're having so much trouble for something so important.
