So yesterday I went to my OB for a regular check up but also wanted to talk to him about TTC. DH and I were going to wait until Aug to start really trying but decided to try this month. Well I used OPKs and as of now I'm on CD 29 and never got a .
So I told my doc and he did blood work to check my progesterone to see if I ovulated. If I didn't he said he can give me something to ovulate (clomid i guess?) but we will go talk to him when the results come in.
Going there I already knew this is what he was going to tell me, but when I got home I was so upset. I just feel like we haven't even really started trying and we are already having problems. I just wish my body would function normally!
I have cysts and may have PCOS even thought all my blood work came back normal. I guess I just need to vent to people that understand. My DH is great but he just doesn't get how this feels

I'm so sorry you are going through this... I just went to my gyno for my regualr check up and to talk about the spotting in between periods I was having. I talked to her about DH and I TTC. She ran complete blood work on me which came back normal. I had a very tiny cyst but it could of been when I ovualted. I still have not gotten my period and have no idea why..But if I don't get it soon I want to go back in to see how come!!! My DH has been great with all of this but I feel he doesn't know how we girls really feel!! He provides the sperm and we have to do all the rest! They have the easy Part!!!!

Re: Vent
I'm so sorry! I was there a month ago, and found out I need clomid. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get DH tested, too. I was supposed to start Clomid next week but we just found out DH has fertility issues so now we're off to see if he can even have children. We're devastated, but we're happier knowing now than after we've already been trying for 6 months or a year.

Re: Vent
Thank you for your responses. I know it is a very common issue I was hoping I could just get pregnant but I guess that idea we all have in our teens that it will just happen isn't always the case!
My OB is very proactive and he already mentioned getting DH checked since he could give me meds and get me ovulating but there could still be an issue on his end. I guess we will discuss all that when I get my results. If I am not ovulating he wants both of us to come in to talk. I am questioning if I should see an RE but it seems like my OB will be the one prescribing the meds?
NYCGirl I am sorry to hear about your DH. Lots of for you guys. And I agree with you...better to know all of this now instead of after months and months of trying!
