Vacuum Recommendations?
After about 7 years, the Eureka vacuum we got as an engagement gift from someone has bit the dust (pun intended). I need a new vacuum and would love suggestions. I don't want to spend a ton of money so Dyson and Miele are out. Looking at Sharks (bonus if it can be purchased at BBB with a 20% off coupon). Upright, bagless, lightweight, and good with animal hair. Most of my house is hardwood floors, but we do have a few area rugs, so would like something that is versatile on multiple surfaces. Thanks!

Vacuum Recommendations?
My Shark Rocket is my absolute favorite vacuum. I have had several others, including a Dyson and it's still my favorite.

I know you said Miele are out due to price, but I have almost all hardwood floors and that is the only vacuum that really works for me. I also have a Shark and it just doesn't cut it. You can get a basic Miele for around the price of a Shark (I think Costco has one now). I don't have the power head and really don't need it. I couldn't believe what a difference the Miele made. It was definitely a great investment for me. I know some cost over $1k but there are some in the $200-$300 range. Just a thought.

Vacuum Recommendations?
I went from a big Eureka upright to a shark rocket. The shark is definitely more convenient since it's so small and lightweight. The head is smaller which bothered me at first but I got used to it. I don't love the attachments at all and miss having a hose that can get anywhere. My biggest complaint is the suction isn't as good as the eureka at all. I do pull out the rocket much more often bc it's so easy, where I used to sweep my hardwoods a lot rather than wrestle with the bigger vacuum so that's a plus.
