UTI question
How do you know if you have one when your pregnant? it doesnt burn or feel like pulling when I pee but, sometimes after I pee I feel a lil achey down there and it comes and goes :( could it be just my muscles expanding and my insides moving around to prepare my uterus for baby? I feel so confused!! lol.. Ive had Uti's before but Im just really crampy down there and don't know what it would be

Re: UTI question
It usually burns when you pee, not afterwards. But when in doubt, just call your OB and go for a quick test.
I thought I had one around 15w b/c I felt like I had to pee constantly. Turned out I was fine. Just the baby bouncing around on my bladder! But it's better to be safe and get a quick test.

Re: UTI question
Pre-pregnancy, I had a history of UTIs, but I always knew when I had one because of the pain. I was shocked to find out I had one early in my pregnancy because I had NO pain at all. If you are concerned and don't want to waste a trip to the dr, drug stores sell UTI test strips.

UTI question
I had one at 5 weeks. It never really burned when i peed but it would hurt afterwards. There was only a slight amount of bacteria in my urine; so i just had to take a small dose of antibiotics and everything turned out fine.
