using your designer bag
so i recently bought a preowned epi noe LV bag. it is in pretty much perfect condition and got a great deal on it.
but i havent used it yet.
i shouldnt just save it for the weekend right? lol!
i have a leather via spiga bag from yearsss ago that i use every day as my work bag and it aged so well.
im afraid the LV will got banged up. not like i throw it around, but i dont know how it will wear.
i should just enjoy it right? and if it ever wears out just a new one
ETA: i feel like the inside is so delicate. you know that soft cashmere like fabric that some of them have? thats what im araid of ruining.

Re: using your designer bag
I don't "save" anything for special occasions. Not clothes, shoes, bottles of wine etc. I only have one set of wine glasses; my really nice ones, we use them all the time. If one breaks, we replace it.
Bottom line, life is short and you never know what tomorrow will bring.
Enjoy it

My friend got CL shoes and was afraid to wear them for awhile. I told her she was nuts. What good is something if it's kept in your closet?
I hope your bag's first day out into the world is a good and safe one.

Re: using your designer bag
I know how you feel because I am rough on things and I always love how things looks when they are new and fresh and perfect. I actually hate getting a new car because it's so pretty and shiny and perfect i just want to lock it in the garage and stare and it and never drive it so the tires stay new. Yeah I'm a nut! I got boots for Christmas that I never wanted to wear either... But then you have to say- ok I spent all this money for a reason- to use it and enjoy it. I still get pangs when I see a scuff on my new boots, or a scratch on a new car- but you just have to move past it!
Enjoy!!

Re: using your designer bag
I take care of my stuff - but I USE my stuff -
I don't see the point of spending a small fortune on something and then keeping it in the closet - what a total and complete waste of money !!
I don't have any guilt or remorse for any of my designer purchases - I get used out of ALL of them, all the time - therefore, the price tag justified IMO.

Re: using your designer bag
to me it's a waste if I don't use it! so I am glad you decided to take her out
I rotate between a LV speedy and a crock gucci (a gift- but it was more then I used to make in a month after 2 raises at macy's lol)
I don't put them on the floor- they both stilll look new - the Gucci is 2 months and the LV is 4
I actually use them less on the weekend- I don't bring them out for drinks - maybe dinner

using your designer bag
I like to keep everything new looking and then I end up hardly using anything. I started wanting to buy things less and less because I figured they would just end up sitting around and not getting used. So now when I buy something I just use it all the time! I don't buy something I don't love, and why not use something you love?

Re: using your designer bag
I don't own any designer bags - Coach is as high-end as I will go - but I will say that this is part of the reason I have a few. I rotate so that none of them get *too* much wear. If I had the $$ to spend on a serious designer bag, I would hope that it's made well enough to hold up to the kind of beating I give my Coach bags - which hold up perfectly!
Glad your new bag is enjoying her day

Re: using your designer bag
You can always send an LV bag for repairs. It's expensive but the bags come back looking brand new. I had mine for 4 years before I even needed that and I am rough on my bags & use that one a lot.
