designer bag experts - update
Have you ever purchased a purse from this website:
www.designeroutletboutique.com
DH bought me a Coach bag from there for my birthday. The website says they are guaranteed authentic. I just get nervous with anything but the actual Coach store. I made a joke with him about bringing it to Coach to see if it actually is real, and I think I hurt his feelings. Is there another way to tell if it is real? It should be, right? I would hate for him to have spend a ton of money (even though he saved by using that website) on a knockoff. TIA
UPDATE:
I called Coach. They could not tell me if it was real of not, but they said that only Coach and some major department stores (i.e. Macy's Bloomingdale's, etc.) are authorized to sell Coach bags. I asked if there was a way I could tell. They do not share that info over the phone. They said that people call of the time for that and that is how they make such good knockoffs.
Then, I called the Coach store at Smithaven Mall. She said to bring it in. . . .
So, I went to the mall tonight, yes, in the snowstorm and. . . . . . .
IT IS REAL!!!!!
There was not a doubt in her mind. We even compared it to the one in the store. It has everything exactly the same. It is not a second, outlet or employee bag. She was very surprised because it is from their new line. I am soooooooo relieved.
If anyone is wondering, it is the Penelope Op Art bag in Khaki and Ivory. Sorry I don't know how to post pictures. I am soooooooo happy!!!!! Thanks again everyone!

Re: designer bag experts
Sorry it's fake. From what I read from another website, all those pics have been stolen from Coach's website and they have not asked for permission to use those images.
Many of those designs on that site are old and available in outlets for cheaper at this point. Those are also often faked designs.
Watch your credit card, those sites are often fronts to steal CC info.
Sorry!
ETA: Could you post a pic of the bag you got?

Re: designer bag experts
i can tell you that one of the coach bags on there I have and I got it at the outlet for way less than their sale price indicates. It also says the incorrect original price of the bag. Definitely a scam.

Re: designer bag experts
Ok I just called the company because i can not believe this could be.. i spoke to a man by the nmae of Tristian Jackson.. 323-424-9858 they are in Ca so its 3 hours difference.. He said that bags are 100% authentic.. the reason he gets them so cheap is because they buy in bulk in Milan at the shows all the closeouts from 2001 - 2007 I do NOT believe they are selling fakes.. They will take anything back as well.. I hope you end up going to Coach to see for yourself I would be very surprised if this was a fake bag.. But then again I can be naive at times..

Re: designer bag experts
Your best bet is to call Coach... that is the only way you will be able to find out the truth.
Coach Consumer Service: 800.444.3611 Mon - Fri: 8am - 11pm
Good luck! See what happens... at least he tried. In the future, tell him he is better off just going to the outlet and getting a deal there that way, you know it is real and you always have their customer service to fall back on if something happens to the bag... it is worth the little extra money and from what I've seen on the website in question - a lot of the deals at the Coach outlet are either the same, or better.
Update us - good luck!

Sorry, but so many people put 100% and it isn't authentic. AFAIK, Coach isn't Italian, so why would he buy it in Milan?
Yes, all the bags on the website are authentic, but those pics are stolen from Coach's website! There is no actual photo of what you get.
To the OP, you should post a pic of your bag and I could tell you better. How is the stitching? Are the Cs in the centre? etc.

Re: designer bag experts
I just looked at the web-site and those seem like the typical price of a COACH bag at an outlet here. Why do you say the price is to good to be true?

So what you are saying is that he can get away with sayng the bags posted on there website are authentic but the one you actually get wont be? To me that should be illegal how come he isnt in jail like all the peope in china town that get caught all the time and get fined/arrested for selling knock off's.. I personally know a woman in Hewlett thatwas taken out of a hair salon in cuffs for selling knock offs.. but she never claimed they real..

Re: designer bag experts - update
Congrats!
On a side note, I really don't trust that websites, from what I have heard from other sites (I am on an Authentic message board), and I hope that the employee is knowledgeable. Sorry, not to be a downer, but some employees don't know what they are doing.
Did she enter a serial number?
Try this site: http://www.coach.com/assets/product_images/drilldown1/6094_d1.jpg
and change the 4 numbers (6094) to the last four digits of your serial number.

I am so happy for you!!! I really am! I had a funny feeling it was going to be also.. I have gone to websites and there is always some hidden clause somewhere that states you aregetting a knockoff.. Maybe not all sites but the fakes i have been on do. Wear your bag in good health!!

That website didn't work for me. I would like to check the serial number. I spoke with the manager and another employee looked at it too. We also compared it to the bag in the store. I do not plan on ever using that website to get a bag again though. It is not worth it to me.
Thanks everyone!!!

this is actually illegal because they are NOT an authorizer reseller for coach. this company should be reported to coach!

Glad to hear the good update. At least you got lucky and your bag is real -- and you know, in the future, not to shop there again because they are not an authorized seller.
His best bet for a good deal in the future is the outlet... there are coupons that come in the mail from time to time also! I get them now with my catalogs because I have bought a few bags. HTH! Enjoy the bag!

I don't know why it won't work Works fine for me. Anyway tell me the last four digits of your serial number and I can post a pic and see if it is your bag.
TBH, Coach employees do not know that much (this could be a good fake). Most of the time, anything from those sites is fake, unless they are an authorised retailer. I am on another message board and I've been toold that site sells fakes. I know I sound crazy, but I really trust this message board; the people there know their stuff.
