Using Rain coats
i am just wondering how many of you bought a rain coat for your DC and actually use it? I bought DS new rain boots and a rain coat this weeknd and I'm not sure if we would actually use the coat.

Re: Using Rain coats
Good question! I want to know too! About the rain coat and the boots...does my 2 year old DS need them?

Re: Using Rain coats
I got a rain coat. It can be a bit of a walk from the car to daycare since he will be in one of the back buildings this year. I always saw the other kids in them. I didn't get him boot but, I may decide to get them depending on the puddle situation. I have never walked to the back in the rain before. Last year it wasn't so far since he was in the first building and he wasn't walking so I just ran him in.

Re: Using Rain coats
Last year we didn't have a raincoat, but a windbreaker with a hood that zippers in. Loved it and DS loved in it last year. It was good for cool/Spring weather or rain b/c of the material.
Liked that better than the raincoat

Re: Using Rain coats
We have one and use it. It's longer than a jacket.
I did not get DS one before he was 2.5 yo. I did not need it before. But now that he is walking more and less in the stroller, yes we use it.
No rain boots though! He hates them and has a hard time walking with them.

Re: Using Rain coats
We got a raincoat as a gift - never used it. Our daycare has a garage and if I have to walk from the car to a store or something, I just carry him and use an umbrella.
Now that he is a little older (2 1/2) I might use a raincoat, but I still think he's not going to need boots.

Re: Using Rain coats
I just specifically bought them raincoats yesterday. We have to walk to get DD from school every day, so they're a must. Otherwise, before she was in school, we got raincoats as gifts and hardly used them.

Re: Using Rain coats
We use them a lot. We go for walks in the rain to splash in puddles. They also wore them to their pre-school on rainy days, as did most of the kids in their class.
