Upsetting Peds visit! Now what?

So, dd has always had very light vaginal hair. My former ped never seemed to think much of it. My new Ped is obsessed with it. Now she wants us to go and see an endocrinologist. She thinks she may be in premature puberty. *** is that? She is only 15 months old.

And she thinks ds's head is too big! She wants us to go to a neurosurgeon for a second opinion. You have seen pics of dd, is his head that big? I mean I don't think he looks like a bobble head or anything!

I am glad that she is being overly percautious, but OMG, I am a bit overwhelmed!

Re: Upsetting Peds visit! Now what?

I am pretty sure I read on here someone who went through the same thing with her daughter - I can;t remember who though. I am sure someone will remember and let you know. it turned out to be nothing if I remember correctly.

I looked at the picture in your profile - at first glance your DS's head does look big COMPARED to your DD's head. But looking aqt him alone in your Xmas album, he looks perfectly fine to me. The dr. is probably just being cautious. Try not to worry... and think it is better to be safe than sorry!

I don't think your son's head looks big at all! He has a bigger build than your daughter and an adorable round face, that's what I see. Is there another ped. in the practice that you can see as a second opinion? Chat Icon
