Upset for dumb reason and need to vent about daycare
This is a stupid vent, but I'm upset and you girls are the only ones I think who would understand.
DD goes to daycare 3 days a week while I'm looking for a job. Usually Mon, Tue and Thurs. Today is Friday and I needed her to go in because I had some unexpected things to take care of. So I dropped her off, and her teachers looked surprised and a little panicked (even though I had told one of them 2x that she was coming in and told the office on Tuesday) Then I realized that every students box had a mothers day card (construction paper) and present except mine.
I'm just really hurt that because I'm part time, they didn't think it worth their time to have DD work on a card (I really don't care about the gift, whatever it is) I mean, they could have left it for me on Thursday. I just wonder if they had all the kids working on the cards and DD wasn't? How do they explain that to her? By the way DD is 2.
I know this is a stupid vent, especially when you think of all the real problems other people are having... thanks for listening.

Maybe they worked on them on Weds - the day your DD wasn't there?
DS is part time as well, I had to sign a photo waiver for something for mother's day - I don't know if I will get anything though since he was just in Monday and today this week.

I was going to say the same thing, I am sure this was a project they did on one of the days your child wasn't in.
I am sure they didn't have the class working on something and excluded your child.

My dcs go part time as well and they work on "projects" on the days that they are there. They don't go on Fridays so yesterday, I got a lovely bag made by them.
It is totally workable in my opinion.
I mean, we made valentines for all of the children in the class, not just those who we see on our day.
