Upset
I'm sitting here going back and forth on whether or not I should post this, but I'm so upset, I feel I might need to vent. DH and I were jogging with the dogs last night. It was so nice, and we were having such a great time. We do this often and have a certain route that we stick to. Well, we were jogging past one house and we noticed a man working on his lawn with his fence open. All of a sudden, 3 big dogs (a pit, wienmeraner, and german shepard) come running out and come running at us. I freaked out. I don't get why people can't keep their dogs behind fences or on leashes. I'm such a nervous wreck with my dogs, (they're like my children!) that I cant understand when people aren't the same way...
Thanks for letting me vent...

Re: Upset
I hear ya on this. I can't believe how some people seem to care less what happens to their dogs. It saddens me beyond words. I love dogs but that would have freaked me out too, since you don't know those dogs. What happened? How did you get away from them?
I have had dogs run out after my dog when we walk by. Luckily only small dogs but I scooped up my dog right away and started screaming for the owners to get their dogs.
I tell DH if any dogs chase after our dog, you scoop him up b/c then they have to get through you to get to him. I would protect my dog even if it meant risking my life. I could never just sit back and watch him get harmed.

Thank you. It's so nice to know that there are wonderful people out there. I scooped Bailey up (my chihuahua) and DH stepped in front of Paige (my pit) and blocked the dogs from coming near her. We'd much rather be harmed then watch them be harmed...

Re: Upset

Re: Upset
I believe this is the case. At the very least if they go off their property. So if you were in the street and something happened to you, your DH or dogs (God forbid) that pet owner could be in ALOT of trouble, not to mention I think the offending dog(s) could be taken away or even put down.
That guy was being incredibly irresponsible.
I'm glad nothing happened to you guys!

Re: Upset
that is scary. Unless the dogs were friendly he should have had them fenced up

There most certainly is. Unfortunatley not everyone abides by this.
