**Update**Finally the rollercoaster is ending
Well after weeks of problems with the baby and it's heartbeat and growth, at 10 weeks (on Saturday), I have pretty much lost the baby. I say pretty much because there is STILL the slightest, barely there heartbeat but the baby lost growth in 9 days. Sadly this baby seems to be very slowly dieing. It's heartbreaking, but there is no chance the baby will make it. I was given three options, to wait longer than the 3 1/2 weeks I have already waited for the baby's heart to stop beating all together. I told them since there is no chance, I can't take it anymore so I'm not waiting any longer for this painful process to drag out. Then I was presented with the option of taking a medication to induce the miscarriage and do it naturally or to have a D & C. I choose the D & C. I don't want to bleed for more than a week and watch as my baby comes out of me. Although I am at 10 weeks, the baby is measuring btwn 5weeks 5 days and 6 weeks (last Tuesday the baby was measuring 6 weeks 3 days when I was 8 weeks 3 days), so it wouldn't be as much tissue coming out as a ten week fetus, but I still don't have it in me. I go tomorrow to the regular OB for the consult with her and then probably D & C on Tuesday. They are going to try to test the baby to see if there were chromosone problems but the RE said that there may not be enough tissue for them to get results on. I have to wait through one full normal cycle before I can start again for my next IUI. I'm desperate to start again. I wish I didn't have to wait through one full cycle, although I understand why. It just puts me further away from the end goal, holding my healthy baby in my arms and that is hard. I'm sad and can't wait to put this whole horrible situation behind me and move on.
**Update**
I want to thank everyone for their kindness and support. You guys are great! I went to the OB on Friday and there was no heartbeat. I feel relieved that I'm going into the D & C with no heartbeat. I was having a difficult time thinking that was not going to be the case. I have a D & C scheduled for Tuesday but I'm not sure what is going to happen because today (sunday), I started bleeding and cramping. I have to go into my OB tomorrow so we will see if I will go through a natural miscarriage now or go through with the D & C on Tuesday. Since the baby was only measuring 6 weeks, not the 10 weeks that I was, the Dr. was more in favor of giving me meds to miscarry and not do the D & C. I choose the D & C because I just wanted to be done with everything but now that I'm miscarrying already I'm not sure what we'll do. We were going to test the tissue to see if there were genetic problems with the baby but now I don't think we will be able to. I really wanted a reason and answers for why this happened so I'm upset that I can't have it now. 
Thanks again to everyone for the support. Hopefully I will be back in the IUI saddle again soon!
