Updated: Should I test????

Update: BFN.... I couldn't wait til morning!

i'm not surprised, but it would have been nice. oh, well.

okay, not sure if i should test or not. as some of you know, my cycles are extremely long and i recently had ovarian surgery and the doctor doesn't think i ovulate from both sides. to make a long story short, i have no idea when I ovulate. my plan was to get one of those monitors this month to see if i could figure out.

anyway, I am on CD25 (no idea if i "o"d or not) and for the past two days I have been very, very crampy ( in the lower abdominal area, not my back where i ususally get period cramps) and so unbeliveably tired--- i feel like I've been hit by a truck. I suppose it could PMS, BUT my cycles have never ever been 28 days, so I would be shocked if it was AF making her appearance.

should i test?

the surgery was in May. AF has visited 3 times since. and my cycle has always been off since i was 13. the only way i was ever regular was on the pill. i've been tracking for the past year and they are anywhere from 40-50 days. they make no sense.

ahhhhhhh - okay...i had assumed that recent meant within the last month..

if your cycles are that long - then i wouldn't test, but that's just me. the let down is far too much...

that's what I was thinking, but I guess my question was would it even be possible to be PG on CD25 with long cycles? Again, don't know when or if I O'd. AF came on august 10 and left on August 13

Re: Should I test????

If it were me I would test. Just from your exhaustion I would test.

I would test bc if I were PG I would want to know so that I can start taking prenatals. Your on 25 and if your AF comes 45 days that's alot of days you can be pg without knowing.

POAS and don't get your hopes up. Tell yourself you are doing it to find out where you are in your cycle. (even though that has nothing to do with it)

Good luck and please post the results if you decide to POAS!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Seems like FMU works best for most people. I am the opposite- I had darker lines in the afternoon than the morning....but everyone else says FMU. Good luck sleeping tonight!Chat Icon

just to add to this - you really should be taking a pre-natal vitamin while TTC'ing...not just once you get pregnant. My doc suggested being on it for 3 months prior to TTC...

Re: Updated: Should I test????

Honestly, I would not test.

If your last AF was 8/10, then you are only on CD 23.

Even if you had a 28-day cycle and ovulated on CD 14, you'd only be 9 dpo which is still very early for a BFP.

Considering that your cycles are typically much longer than 28 days, I would think maybe you are closer to ovulation than to AF.
