UPDATED AGAIN: SO annoyed with mortgage broker -- need to vent
My mortgage broker kept promising that I'd have clear to close. First last friday, then this Monday. I hear nothing so I've been harassing as you may have read from prior posts.
Well...DH finally got in touch with him and guess what?
HE NEVER SENT THE BANK ALL OF THE NECESSARY PAPERWORK!!!!
So, while he was telling me he'd have clearance by X day, he obviously wasn't calling to follow up with the bank, he was just trying to shut me up.
NOW I PROBABLY WON"T CLOSE UNTIL AFTER THE NEW YEAR
I have someone taking over my apartment so now I'll have to pay to put my stuff in storage, live with my dad and then pay to have it taken out of storage. And this is all their fault!!!!
I'm so upset.
ETA: Now his stupid underwriter told the bank there's a problem with the bathrom and its mentioned in the contracts.
THERE'S NO PROBLEM WITH THE BATHROOM AND NOTHING IS MENTIONED IN THE CONTRACTS.
This girl is a moran and my broker's partner has no idea wh at's going on.
ETA: Now I'm told that there's a problem with the roof (there isn't) and that my broker - without telling me - sent a licensed roofer to the house two weeks ago.
The assistant at the mortgage broker's office called my lawyer and wanted to get something taken out of the contract and when my lawyer said no b/c it was illegal, this girl called the seller's lawyer hoping for a different answer. SHE WANTED TO DO THIS BEHIND MY BACK AND THE SELLER'S BACK!!!!
Why is this happening to me?????

that suck$!!! you should tell him how upset you are and speak to his supervisor. tell them that you EXPECT the cost of the storage to come out of their fee....all of sudden you'll see them move like lightening!!!

You should give your broker a piece of your mind!!! Let him know exactly what this is doing to you with the added expenses!

That broker needs to be fired. I would tell him that he messed up big time. You need to tell him about the inconvenience it has caused. Give him a dollar figure too..
That's crap!

I agree- I have never heard of this!
I would agree, he is suppose to be working for you. My mortgage broker pulled all the strings he could to help us out and move things along for us. If you need his name and number let me know because I know that he can get a loan to close within a week or so.

I also agree. I think you should also talk to your lawyer about intervening here, especially if they are trying to do things that are illegal!
