(((UPDATE))) Yay!!!!!...................finally!!!!!!!!
First sonogram tomorrow!!!!!! I thought this day would never come!!! I am so excited. I can't wait to get a sneak peek and I will relax a lot more once I see a baby and a heartbeat. 11am can't come soon enough!!!! Praying it's ALL good news tomorrow. 
UPDATE
Soooooo, I don't know if it's good or bad what happened today. 
At my first appt. two weeks ago the OB said I was 5.5 weeks which actually sounded "off" to me because I know I ovulated fairly late and my periods are irregular. I didn't think I was that far along. Anyway, based on her calculations that would put me at 7w2d today.
On the sono they saw the sac, it was a good shape and was in the right spot but they didn't see anything in it. They measured it at 5w3d which if I am that early, it's COMPLETELY normal to not see anything but at a sac at this point. (With my DD we only saw a sac at 5w5d and didn't see "her" until 6w5d.)
So it can be one of two things, either this pregnancy isn't viable OR alternatively, I could just not be as far along as they thought. They said they can't really accurately date the pregnancy until I am 7-8 weeks along on the sono. I have to go back next Thursday foe another sono. I will know more then. Obviously if there is NO change I have a problem but I am that I am just not that far along and the baby just needs some time to grow and show up on the sono.
It's going to be a LOOOOONG week.

good luck!!! i know how frustrating that can be! I was the same way. All you can do is wait and pray every day everything is well!!! But after the first u/s you will feel sooooooo much better!

Something very similar happened to me. The doctor thought I was at least 6 weeks, based on my last period even though I really thought I ovulated late. They couldn't see anything during the sono, not even a sac, so of course I had to go back the next week. It was the most stressful week ever! But when I went back they were able to see the embryo and the heartbeat so it turns out the first sono was just too early and I had been right about ovulating late.
I know it's hard, but try not to panic!

Hopefully your dating is just off...all i saw at 4-5w was the sac and then at 6w2d we saw our little sprout and heard the HB...good luck and please keep us updated!!!

Sorry to hear about the tough update today I hope when you go back next week, everything makes sense and falls into place. Did they do a beta to determine how far along they thought you were? Those numbers range so crazy much it's impossible to tell from that. My OB had me almost 6 weeks ahead for a while based on my LMP even though I told them not to even put that date into my record it was so off.
Hoping for a much better update after next week!!

Thanks everyone for the support!!!! 
Here's the thing.......there is NOOO way I am as far along as she calculated originally. I have calculated every way possible, adding days, adding weeks, from ovulation, from conception and she is defintely off by at least a week. I without doubt ovulated on June 18th, that puts me at 6w2d.........not 7w2d. (Due date of March 11th) Big difference. And if the egg implanted a little late I could be even less further along. So I think the calculations are all off due to my irregular cycles and late ovulation. I hope am right and next week we see some progress. I think it was just too early today. Fingers crossed.

Beta was actually very good. They even said the sac itself looked good and it's placement in my uterus was also good. Everything seems right so far except for the fact there was nothing to see but that is why I am hoping it was just too early. I pray that is the case.

theres a chance that if you are 6w2d you wouldn't see the heartbeat. based on when you are sure you ovulated (have you been temping?) it seems like you should be 6w4d. did they see anything in the sac? a fetal pole?
