UPDATE!!!!: we are fine! WE ARE FINE! we are fine!!!!!!!!!
What a day and what a relief!
To recap, we got a call from the ob fifteen days ago telling us that she had seen a chloroid plexus cyst on the baby's BRAIN during the last sono (which had been 5 days before....but don't get me started, I will talk to her more about that on tuesday when I go to my reg appt!) - while all the other tests for chromosomal abnormalities (afp and utlrascreen, the other sonos so far, etc.) had been fine, it was a precaution to send us to see a fetal maternity specialist. So we were given an appt ten days later...which was today - and at times seemed like an eternity. Overall both dh and I kept a positive outlook (ok, after two days of worrying we decided it was ridiculous and we would not jump to conclusions until we had to!) but last night and this morning were a diff story - we were stressballs! 
We had to check in at the hospital and I was admitted - got an <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=22&k=id%20bracelet" onmouseover="window.status='id bracelet'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">id bracelet</a> and all - they even asked me about a living will, health care proxy and the whole nine yards.....way to keep me calm but I know they have to....
We went upstairs and met the tech (who on a side note was a male, the first one I have encountered!) who was very nice and reassuring and upbeat! He started the sono and was a talker - i mean, every question we asked him was a long drawn out explanation which we appreciated but also just wanted to hear the words "its normal" or "ok" - and did but always at the end of his diatribe!
The cyst is so tiny that both the tech and then the dr said we had NOTHING to worry about, it will be gone by the end of the week most likely - she is right on track (yup - I made them confirm again its a girl....thrid time so now I am starting to believe it!)  and weighing in at 1 lb 10 oz......in great health too! We saw her heart, kidneys and brain real close up and got some cute shots of her feet and her profile!
We are so relieved and blessed to have had your support (we only told one friend of mine who had a baby last fall..but were afraid to worry anyone else until we knew more....so it has been a long ten days during which we sometimes felt deceptive and guilty!) Words cannot express the gratitude I have for everyone who thought of us, gave hugs or fm'd me! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Afterwards, we celebrated by going to lunch and then we went and started registering...which was a little overwhelming....my poor dh is asleep on the couch right now and I already know it will be an early night for both of us since we did not sleep well and were ready about two hrs before the appt!
Sorry this is so long....thanks again for everything!! 
ETA: and the funny part was upstairs while we were waiting in the labor and delivery lobby....we ran into one of the security guards at a school I used to sub in - his daughter was in labor...small world!

And by the way - if I don't give birth by next Tuesday - I have a doctors appt at 8:00 - not sure what time yours is - but maybe I will see you - no offense, hopefully I will have given birth by then.

thanks Marcie! Actually when you posted on my other post from yesterday at 10:01 - we were offficially there..we had checked in (or I was "admitted") and we were in the waiting room by labor and delivery - so thanks for thinking of us!
I am not offened and hope you will not have to go next tues - by then hopefully I will have visited you at St. Charles! - we go at 6 anyway...and I have to do the ges. diabetes test....but after all we went through....if I fail, I could no longer care less!
