UPDATE- So excited...
UPDATE: I got an appointment for the Melville office two weeks from now. i'm going to keep trying on the port jeff office but they seemed to think this was the best they could do right now... she said they're really busy.
I know I'm putting the cart before the horse here, but that's ok b/c I've been so down lately and this is giving me hope 
I called yesterday morning, first thing to make an appointment w/ LI-IVF. I just heard back from the woman re: the grant and she said I'm definitely a good candidate  She said I'd have to go thru 4 rounds of IUI but when I told her what my current dr said and that i have an appointment to see dr. K in a few weeks, she said he could override it due to my odds of suffering OHSS each time 
I'm SO SUPER excited right now. For the first time in a week I don't feel completely defeated!!! I guess it's true, it really is the hope that keeps us going...
so now I'm going to keep calling and try to get my appointment moved up so I don't lose out on the opportunity just waiting for my appointment to come up--- 3 weeks is a long time when there's possible $$$ involved, b/c I know I'm not the only one in need of it.

I asked about Dr. Brenner but they left me with the impression that he wasn't in the port jeff branch.
Do you think they'd let me see Dr. K in a different office for my first consult, if it meant seeing him sooner? Maybe he's in one of the other offices more frequently?

That's awesome news!! I would think you should be able to see him in a different branch for just a consult if he was available, can't hurt to ask!!

You should be able to have a consult at the other branch and still be able to get your blood/sonos at Pt. Jeff during the weekday! And like Laurenexp mentioned, go with any doctor! Good Luck!

Great News, and ITA with this! You are a great candidate for IVF based on how you respond to the meds. You are definately on the road to a BFP!

Thanks ladies- I woke up feeling blah this morning, I think thanks to my horrible headache that I had.
I had SUCH strange dreams last night--- more than 1---- which is odd b/c I haven't dreamt lately.
One was all about my grandma whose grave I cried over last week after getting my bad news.  It was a really long dream too but I don't remember all of it...
