Update on me (long). Updated 2/1
Preface: Baby has been measuring at the 90-100th percentile (32w) and 83rd percentile (36w). I was put on modified bed rest (work from home) starting last week due to a bad hemorrhoid. That one got a little better but unfortunately 3 more popped out this past Sunday night and the original is also still there.
Had my 37w appt today (a little late - I'm 37w 2d). For the past few days I have been a non-person, alternately crying and sitting in baths due to the horrendous hemorrhoids (which I cannot stress enough is NOT me). Couldn't even sit to wait for the doc; when she came in I told her how bad it's been and she checked them (I almost went through the ceiling with the pain). Apparently I can't just get regular ole hemorrhoids - no, not me - I have clotted (clotting?) hemorrhoids that are so bad she would not do the internal and I must see a colorectal surgeon tomorrow to discuss my options. She also gave me an rx for a numbing cream in addition to the corticosteroid I'm already on AND an rx for Vicodin (which is what is enabling me to even write this  ).
So, I'm to call the specialist in the morning and we'll go from there. In my mind, the best option would be for him to say we'll do the c-section and the procedure on the hemorrhoids all in one shot (I don't imagine they'll let me deliver when they're this bad this close to my EDD).
So that's my very long and very pathetic story. Any hugs would be appreciated - it's been the longest few weeks ever 
UPDATE: Went to the colorectal surgeon this morning (fabulous office and dr's should anyone be unlucky enough to need one) and had some emergency surgery in-office. Without getting into the horrible details, I have thormbosed hemorrhoids (clotting in the hemorrhoids) and she did an excision on both. I can honestly say that this was far and away the hardest thing I have ever physically had to endure. I'm back on the vicodin which is helping and according to the doctor, I'll feel "like a new person" by tomorrow. I'll believe it when I see it of course but for now I'll just sleep and take the meds and hope for the best. I did make a promise to my stomach that he/she will get a car at 16 if they give me at least one more day before going into labor I just have no energy (read: pain) reserves left.

Oh my goodness. I feel so terrible for you - how horrible. I hope and pray that they get better. I couldn't imagine they would have you deliver vaginally - that would be unbelievable.
I hope that the specialist can do something for you......Many hugs your way and good luck.

Oh man Eileen, so sorry, sounds so painful but remember this will all be over soon and you will have that little munchkin to cheer you up

OMG I feel so bad for you! I've had the whole family come to town in that area but I can't imagine how bad yours is.
what a fre*akin shame!!!
I feel horrible. I know that all you want is to feel better and anticipate this little baby. The roids are sooooooooo taking away from that b/c it is causing you such pain and discomfort not to mention deopression and misery.
I believe the specialist will give you your best option.

You poor thing! I've had surgery to remove them, but not PG. I can't imagine the pain and discomfort you are going through!!

OMG you poor thing!!!! I've never had a hemorroid yet and I'm not looking forward to them!  I can only imagine how uncomfortalbe the must make you feel. And if I'm that uncomfortable without relief, I would be crying 24/7 too. Hang in there! Soon you'll have a beautiful baby and you'll be past all of this!
