Update on Max
I can't thank you all enough for the thoughts and prayers for Max and our family. It's been a rough week, but my little tiger is doing great! On Monday, the doctors found a perforation in his intestines, but thankfully they caught it early, put a drain in and avoided surgery. Alot of times, those holes seal up on their own and hopefully we'll never have to deal with that again. He's starting to put on weight and has not shown any signs of discomfort or distress. He's super active and is always stretching, kicking his legs around and wiggling his fingers and toes. Max also tries to push the nurses away when he doesn't want to be bothered lol This kid is a fighter and I am amazed by his strength and resiliency.
I just called the NICU and they are going down on his vent settings and we're going to get to hold him in the next few days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I am beyond excited!!!!!!!!!!!! Not having Max in my arms has been torture and I've been dreaming of this moment since I first saw him
