Update on Jake's Recovery
Well today marks 2 weeks from the operation (disc replacement in his neck)
and the progress is insane- besides his arms no longer going numb - his overall outlook on life is completely changed
he has so much more engery and is such a more positive person
in the last saturday- he cleaned the whole apartment
decided that he wanted to get a new wedding ring and actually wear it (his old one was not comfortable)
Has decided that he wants to have kids- and that they are fun ( not for a few years- but the fact that theses words have come from his mouth still freaks me out)
I am looking forward to the next 2 weeks when his neck should stop hurting and he can go back to a normal life
(he is eating me out of house and home- I have been to the supermarket EVERYDAY- they actually ran out of rice pudding- since he makes me buy 3 or 4 a day- his throat is still alittle sore)
if anyone or a loved one needs this operation and are debating it- I say go for it- I have my husband back - what a way to start the new year!

I may have disk surgery too, but on my lower back. Dreading it, but it's been a long time hurting, and it's been this way more than 1/2 my life

GET IT DONE! the pain was incredible for the first few hours- mainly b/c of his size and tolerance for pain meds
but after 12 hours- he was asking to go home
thank you everyone!!!!!!! I still can't believe that this is happening - it's like winning the lottery

That's an amazing story! I know you've mentioned this to me before since I have disx problems and surgery has been suggested to me when I was having a very hard time with my back. It's really encouraging and I'm so glad you have a new lease on life.
