Update on empty Sac post
So I had my follow up appointment today and found out that I am definitely having a miscarriage The doctor was great and very nice and I held it together until I left the office and then as soon as I spoke to DH I was a mess.
Now I am faced with the decision of having to miscarry naturally, take some pills and miscarry then, have a D&C at the office or D&C at the hospital.
I am going to post on parenting to see if anyone has had to deal with these options and what they choose.
I really dont want to post this sad update on here but you guys were so supported when I posted my original post I just wanted to come on and thank you all and to wish you all a healthy and happy pregnancy. Its an amazing miracle and one we all take for granted sometimes - I know I did.
Thank you

Update on empty Sac post
I am so so sorry for your loss. I was in your EXACT shoes in March and given the same set of options. I had already had a D&E 9 months before so I knew a bit of what it would be like but was so numb to be there again. In the end, I decided to go with the D&C vs having to miscarry naturally. The thought of having to take the pills, the pain, and then having to collect it to bring in for testing (I had wanted answers and there was concern of air contamination) was too much for me to handle. I was also concerned that if I went naturally, would everything come out? (I know, it sounds horrible). At least with the surgery, I knew it would be all taken care of.
Again, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know the pain all too well.
Feel free to FM me if you want to talk about this further - I've been there.
Sending prayers your way.

Re: Update on empty Sac post
So sorry for your loss.
I've been through this twice and chose to have a D&C both times. I chose this because I felt better knowing exactly when it was going to happen. I was also afraid that I was going to have wait a few weeks before I would miscarry naturally and that would have been too difficult for me- having the D&C let me start the healing process sooner. Also, I wanted to be able to test the tissue in case it give me any answers I may need for future pregnancies (turns out it was chromosomal both times). I know it's not an easy decision- I went back and forth about what to do but ultimately decided this would be better for me emotionally. Everyone is different though and of course you have to do what feels right for you.

Re: Update on empty Sac post
I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a natural miscarriage in March of last year and if I had to do it all again, I would've opted for the D&C.

I am so sorry for your loss. Big hugs. I had two losses (april 2011 and october 2011) and my dr STRONGLY urged me to have the D&C which I chose to do both times. It took the fear of when is it going to happen away and let me start the healing process as fast as possible.
I also wanted the D&C so they could do testing and to know that the chances of them missing anything were slim. I didn't want to be on the edge of my seat wondering when I was finally going to miscarry on my own.
Feel free to FM me if you ever want to talk. I had them both done in the hospital.

So sorry. I just had a miscarriage too at the end of august. It is devastating. Take the time to grieve and be sad.
I found this website from the UK extremely helpful. Especially if you open up their pamphlet. http://www.miscarriageassociation.org.uk/
