UPDATE~
did not grow much since last week. Dr Asked if I was prepared to possibly go into labor tonite and I replied "no" so he wants to see me again Monday morning. He will strip me then. My concern is that he is still kind of insistant on the induction, so he put me in for induction on Tuesday night so that will be born on Wednesday. He feels that this is the best chance of me delivering vaginally. I still am about being induced, so I will try all the labor tricks this weekend and with the stripping and full moon on monday lets that I go into labor on my own. That is my hope right now. Thanks for any good thoughts my way girls!

I give you credit for holding out!! I'm so miserable at this point and my baby too is 8lbs that I would kiss the doctor if he offered to induce me!!! But I totally understand your decision too so hopefully some of the labor tricks will work!! I'll be trying ALL of them too this weekend, maybe we'll both be in labor by Monday!!!!

I hope we are both in labor by monday too!! I feel because part of me feels like an induction is a kind of "cop out" but the other part of me feels like who the heck am I to argue with the doc, he knows best. I am torn

I totally understand how you feel. My thing with being induced at this point is I REALLY want the chance to deliver vaginally and my OB said at 10lbs it's an automatic C-section. Well the baby was already 8lbs almost 2 weeks ago so on Tues. when I have the biophysical again I'm sure he/she will be at least 9lbs, if not more. If that's the case and they wait to induce me to the 24th it may not even be an induction, just a C. I would like them to move up my induction to the 17th so I at least have the chance and if I end up still needing a C well then at least I was able to try. Plus on top of everything else, I'm so swollen and so uncomfortable I just can't take it anymore. I'm hoping that maybe things will just happen on their own but who knows. I have an appt. this afternoon so we'll see if there is any change. I sure hope so!!! Otherwise this weekend will be filled with walking, spicy food, and sex (god help me!! Chat Icon
