UPDATE!!! not sure how serious my symptoms are HELP!! OHSS related

I am very very bloated and the only way I can explain it is I feel like I ate 10 apple pies and did 100 crunches. I'm uncomfortable and cant lay on my side. I did a few errands today and rested on the shopping cart as I walked through target so slowly. Felt like and old lady lol When I'm laying down I'm okay and would prefer to wait to go in for my beta on Saturday the 7th bc it's my lucky number! Could I wait? Ate these typical symptoms of ohss? Do I need to be seen right away? I don't want to go tomorrow if it is not necessary. Also what should I be doing for this? My re says to limit fluids which I thought was strange considering I'm always reading the opposite. Help!!

Update.

Well in do have mild ohss but that is because I'm pregnant!!! I'm so happy and thrilled and thank God for this miracle. I went to church today to pray for all of us. Please keep me in your prayers as well

On another note I'm so nauseous. I'm exactly 4 weeks and my I'm pretty sure she said my beta is 492. Seems high and I'm not complaining but could this be causing the nausea? I even threw up. I'm trying to figure out if the sudden queasiness is related to the hcg or the ohss. Any thoughts??? Chat Icon

you need to weigh yourself. if you gained around 10+lbs and look 7m pregnant and your belly is very hard then it is probably OHSS and you should get checked out. i went to see dr. B after my BFP but i was only 4w4d (my symptoms started a few days after BFP) but my OHSS symptoms seemed bad - looked 7m pregnant, could barely walk cause it hurt, gained 9lbs in 48 hours. he tapped on my belly and said it was mild at most and sent me on my way. apparently with really bad OHSS your belly gets hard like a rock and they have to drain the fluid. mine wasnt considered bad enough and they ran bloodwork which also came back OK. drinking gatorade or anything with a lot of electrolytes helps. and eat only small meals, big meals would KILL me. i also tried to keep my sodium low although i have heard mixed reviews about that one.

i totally do not believe in signs, and i never encourage testing early, but if you truly have OHSS now and did not have it post ER, i would say the chances that you are pregnant are very high since HCG makes the symptoms much worse.

Chat Icon I know what you're going through... it is so uncomfortable and painful. I made sure I was seen every day at the RE for monitoring. I gained 10 lbs. in 2 days and my stomach was so big and hard, I couldn't even stand up straight.
One of the biggest issues is not being able to urinate- do you have this? Miraculously I had to pee every five minutes, so it wasn't that bad. The girls' advice to drink Gatorade and electrolytes-rich drinks worked! I drank coconut water too. Sooo delish and it worked! I was able to transfer at 5 days!

Keep us posted and tell us what the Dr. says!!

I had ohss after both of my ivf cyles. 1st cycle i took dostinex but unfortunately was not able to transfer. I was told to limit fluid intake but to drink gatorade or fluids with electorlytes and one 8 oz glass of v8 per day. Although it has a high sodium content I was told it helps the ovaries re-absorb the fluids from the follicle removed. I was also told to limit activity level and do not lift anything heavy. Feel better!

Limited fluids yesterday and ate small meals and maybe it did the trick. Still bloated though Chat Icon
