Update: He couldn't be saved = Can i have some prayers for one of the ferals I care for?
UPDATE: The vet called, based on his injuries the vet believes Preston was hit by a car and dragged under it. His injuries were too severe. Rest in peace, Preston

There are 16 cats in this colony I care for, all fixed, all vaccinated. His name is Preston. He showed up yesterday dragging his back leg behind him and it’s all mangled. I tried to catch him yesterday and I couldn’t and I don’t want to stress him out or hurt him further. I caught him today dropped him off at the vet and I am waiting to see what’s wrong/how much they’re going to charge. He’s a really sweet cat that already lives a tough life & I hope he’s going to be OK

Thank you everyone. My vet was a great comfort in letting me know I was doing the right thing for Preston. I do what I can and try to make the best rational decision for the feral cats. Sometimes you have to take some emotion out of it & be realistic. I am just glad he’s not suffering anymore, because he was in a lot of pain. Thank you all for your compassion.
