UPDATE: Dying to know if I got the job... do I call?
I interviewed for a position on Tuesday, and they said I should hear by the end of the week. I'm sitting at work and looking at my phone every ten minutes. Should I make an anonymous phone call to find out if a decision has been made? Or should I sit here and wait?
Help...
Update: Nothing. Nada. No word. I was away since Monday, and haven't heard a peep. Now do I call????

 I'm sorry, I know this is SOOO frustrating!! If you can though, I would wait. Since they said you would hear by the end of the week and today is Friday, I would possibly check in again on Tuesday.... exactly 1 week after the interview.
Perhaps then you can call and ask to speak to the person you interviewed with to say that you are very excited about the position and curious about your status so you could begin preparing materials, etc. asap.
Now, that's possibly what I would do (hard to say for sure unless you're actually in the situation). I am SO impatient so I would also probably be looking for ways to distract myself during the weekend!  Good luck!

I would send a follow-up letter...maybe go to the town that the school is in, and send it from their post office so you know it will get there by Monday. Thank them for granting you the interview, and again express how interested you are in the job/district.

I would call. Also keep in mind, a lot of Principal take vacation in the middle of the summer bc the beginning and end of summer are the busy times.
