UPDATE - How long can LP be?
Hi girls... So I just recently introduced myself on here b/c DH and I are going to start TTC for baby #2 this month. Went off BCP in March. I have been using the CBEFM since going off - just to see what my cycles were like. But DH and I were NOT around O b/c we were not ready to start trying until June. I had 2 normal cycles - 30 days in length...O'd both cycles. This past cycle was much longer - O'd much later - around cd28. I got peak on the monitor on say cd28 and cd29....we a few days later but not at all anywhere near when I got peak reading. I didn't keep track but let's say we on cd 32-ish? That is too late to have done anything right?
Sorry for all the lengthy detail - I'm just wondering where the heck AF is b/c I've been CRAZY PMS-ing for over 2 weeks now...like crazy cranky mood swing B!TCH!!! My DH keeps saying please just get your . already!!! It's definitely been well over 14 days since O....those first 2 cycles off BCP I had a 14 day LP...now it's longer? Is it normal that it's longer since this cycle was longer? Or is there any possible chance I am prego? I don't feel prego...1st pregnancy I def. had the sore boobs and cramps before I tested. I have none of that...and besides PMS I have no AF symptoms either... I'm just and wondering why AF is taking so long to come. Should I test just to see?
If you made it this far TIA!!!!
ETA: We didn't probably a week or more leading up to O b/c we were trying NOT to get pregnant. Just wanted to make that clear...no leading up to the peak reading...but def. did maybe 4 days after peak reading.
UPDATE: OK I just checked my notes/calendar. My past 2 cycles my LP was 10 & 11 days...I am now up to a 17day LP with no AF. I had a test so took it and BFN which I expected but now I'm just wondering....why no AF yet? Any insight would be helpful...thank you. Am I still just adjusting to life off BCP...I know it can be a good 6 mos before you regulate but I guess I thought your LP didn't vary that much. TIA!

Re: UPDATE - How long can LP be?
I will try to answer as many of those questions as I can
LP's can vary, everyone is different but I would assume the max should be around 14 days or so ( I could be wrong though). Your LP is the only thing in your cycle that is consistent so each month if your LP is 10 days it should always be around 10 days (give or a take a day or two) I dont think you can be pregnant if you 4 days after your peak reading HOWEVER it is not impossible. It is possible that your body is still adjusting to being off BCP since it can take 3 months (or more) for a woman's body to adjust. Why not go in for some blood work to know for sure if you are pregnant or not?

- thanks for answering my questions! Seems you are the only one brave enough to tackle all of them since I had a ton of view and only 1 reply That's what I thought - that's why I'm pretty confused....I thought LP shouldn't vary much at all from cycle to cycle. I know I'm not pregnant. I guess I'll give it a few more days for AF to show then call my doctor. Last time off BCP I went 100+ days with no AF on my 3rd cycle off...this is my 3rd cycle off. I hate to think history is repeating itself. I eventually took provera to bring on AF and then I conceived that cycle. Thanks for replying!!!

ITA with everything Millie said. I think the different LP lengths is probably due to you adjusting to being off the pill. Typically your LP will be the same length of time every month, give or take a day.
I also don't think you could be pregnant based on when you But anything is possible!
