Unique Holiday Gifts 2009

This year I got my aunt in our secret santa. She loves turtles, so I think part of her gift will be the adoption of a sea turtle from The Riverhead Foundation Last year I gave my secret santa a share of an animal through Heifer International.
I give those family plaques as engagement gifts, everyone loves them!
My FIL loves scrimshaw and reading, so I got him a scrimshaw bookmark on etsy.

This is cute and different! I also like the idea of buying part of an animal... That sounds like it might be a good idea for some of the kids.

Not so much unique but at somewhat personalized.
Each yr we get calendars made for the upcoming yr with pictures (of kids and family), made from Snapfish or Shutterfly.
My inlaws get one and so do my parents and they love it.

Another idea is to frame a stock - Website
For our anniversary - I bought DH stock in Disney (we vacay there once a year) and had one share framed...
It was very cute.
They have other companies as well - Abercrombie, Allstate, Amazon, Sam Adams, etc so you can tailor it to something he likes.
eta: I'm sorry - not just for DH - maybe a sibling or a parent too! They have Mattel - for a little girl. etc.
