Unique Baby Shower Gift Ideas for a Good Friend?
my friend is due a month after me and i wanted to get her something special for her shower.
Does anyone have an idea for a unique touching baby shower gift?
She knows she is having a girl.
i was thinking of something off the registry and then maybe something small. then i was thinking something entirely not on teh registry but super cute and unique. maybe a basket of stuff? i dont know. Has anyone attended a shower where a specific gift really stuck out?
ETA: she does know the name, i woudl just have to find out if she is sharing with everyone or not

I think one of the best unique gifts I've ever seen for a little girl was matching mother-daughter earrings. The person happen to choose their birthstone bc it was the same month but any set is beautiful.
If you want to go the personalized route they have tons of personalized burp clothes, bibs, and diaper cover sets that people sell on Etsy
My friend got a personalized toy chest filled with tons of toys, outfits, bibs, etc.

I did 1st holidays for my best friend, and I made a hospital bag for her.
A diaper cake
A photo shoot is a good idea, my friend had already booked that or I would of done that.

Love the earring idea!! Also what about something personalized....Etsy has some amazing things. Or a necklace for your friend where it has the discs on it with the baby's name and then later on she can add a discs for future baby's names.

One of our friends got us custom framed letters (to spell name) for DS nursery. They had them made to match his bedding from Spolied Rotten in Woodbury it was personal, unique, and so unexpected!!
I also LOVE the mommy necklace idea!!

I got my good friend a newborn photo shoot and she loved it. I also love going to her house and seeing the photos displayed. Its a gift that will last a lifetime.

I think this is the cutest thing ever! My GF got one for her shower with the babies name, but you can do the family name if she doesn't have names yet. She had guests do their thumbprints, I'd do just family.

Something I really appreciated was a gift for ME. It sounds so selfish, but a few people chipped in an got me a spa g/c to use either before or after the baby is born and honestly, I really appreciated that!

I love getting moms-to-be a bottle of "Mommy's Time Out" wine and a "New Mommy" Lolita Wine Glass. They also have two cute books "Sippy Cups are Not for Chardonnay" and "Naptime is the New Happy Hour". You can do a whole theme basket - or diaper bag - with everything in it and combine "mommy's bottles" with the baby's bottles. It's a nice presentation and the wine gets a laugh from everyone. You can also add a massage gift certificate and make it a whole mommy pampering thing.
Also, there's a great store in Syosset called "Over the Rainbow" that has amazing stuff for babies - all personalized. I bought a friend a beautiful hair clip hanger for her daughter with her name on it. They have SUCH cute stuff!!!
You can also make a REALLY special diaper cake with all little baby toys for girls "decorating" it.

oh i love your first idea with the wine, books, bottles and massage! shes a wine drinker so its so fitting! i think i'll try and do a basket/gift bag with items that relate to that theme. thanks so much!
