UNFLUCKINGBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!
So over the weekend, DH bought me a new camera at Costco after I dropped and broke the one I bought myself at Thanksgiving.
Anyway, I went to charge the battery so we could use it this weekend, and I opened the box AND THERE WAS NO CAMERA IN IT!!!! 
I didn't know whether to cry or throw up!!!!

If Costco fights you on it, hopefully you can dispute it with credit card company.

There's so much other crap in the box (CD's, charger, battery, cables, three booklets) I didn't really notice! (And the camera is pretty small and light anyway).
I think DH put it on his debit card

It looks like they gave you the box for the display model.
Def take it back and have them give you a new one. See if they'll throw anything in for your inconvenience.

Is there a sticker on the box telling you that the cashier will get the camera for you when you check out? They do that with a lot of their software... perhaps the cashier and your DH didn't notice?
I'd call the store manager FIRST and then go over there, so they have a heads up that you're coming.
To whoever asked about disputing the charge with CC companies -- Costco only takes debit cards, cash, and checks... so if he paid with a debit card, you'd have to dispute the charge with the bank, which takes a lot longer than just disputing it with a CC company.

Costco accepts Amex..I use it exclusively.
I agree, though call the manager first. I bet it was a floor model box. I hope you don't have an issue with them. You could call your bank and alert them.
That really blows.

You'd think they'd check (not that I'm saying we weren't dopey for not checking or for not looking sooner) if it's a box that isn't sealed.

Hopefully they'll be able to help you out. I probably wouldn't have opened the box in the store either - I'd have trusted the salesperson knew what he was doing.
Work with the store first. Hopefully they keep a good inventory!

It definatley sounds like the gave you the floor model. Costco is reasonable when it comes to things like that. I'm sure they will understand.
