I may steal my parent's laptop. 
I think it's wireless- does that mean it will just automatically work in my house?
Do you have internet at home? I would assume that you don't, since you don't have a home computer. You will need to get internet first, then a wireless router and THEN you can use the wireless laptop with it.
or she can just mooch off someone who has an unlocked wireless connection.
