UGH! So Frustrated
So, I go in for my CD3 Sonogram.
The yay: thin lining, and two ovaries
The not-so-yay: The technician found an endometrium. Apparently it was singular, and only in one spot
The more-not-so-yay: I am vitamin D deficient
I met with the nurse who explained I would be monitored for this cycle (???) I was confused because Dr Saketos said it would be an UNmonitored cycle. The nurse asked if I had blood drawn, I replied "Yes, last Tuesday, do you have the results?" This is where I found out about the vitamin D. We're still waiting on genetics.
Apparently she wanted my blood drawn TODAY with the sonogram, but no one made it clear, and they let me leave without taking it. They called me and I have to go back tomorrow for blood draw.
When I called to re-schedule the appointment they put me in for a sono an d a blood draw again until I made it clear all I needed was a blood draw.
I REALLY need these people to know what they're doing, or to explain it to me clearly so I know what to expect. I have NO idea what's going on, and I'm so new at this I don't even know the right questions to ask.
Sooooo aggravated!

IMO every appointment should be bloodwork AND sono. and your cycle should be monitored. thats the point of an RE. if you want to cycle unmonitored you don't need a doctor.

i always scratch my head when i read post about unmonitered cycles with re's... what are they doing then if not monitering you ?
i would def call and ask to speak to your doctor!

Why would Dr. Saketos do an unmonitored cycle? That is very odd. She is my RE and she monitors every cycle closely with blood/sono at every appointment. I would start by asking her exactly what the plan is so you know what to expect for the cycle.

Thats very weird that they would do an unmonitored cycle...I thought the point of the RE was to monitor your cycles. Did she maybe mean unmedicated?

Re: UGH! So Frustrated
I am not at all upset with Dr Saketos. I'm frustrated that I'm not clear on what is supposed to go on and that the office staff was unclear.
Your insight is helping me understand what needs to happen at each appointment. I am sure Dr S said unmonitored because she asked me to purchase OPKs. My physical disability makes things slightly unique. The bigger picture is getting pregnant, so I'll just consider this a hiccup.
