Ugh... more name help please (Girl) with poll
So we are having a girl and cannot decide on a name.
DH loves the name Amelie. I like it, but like others more and I think she will always be called Emily or Amelia.
Other names one or both like are:
Gwen
Alex (or Alexandra)
Ella
Evelyn (my great grandmother's name)
and Grace - my personal favorite (but it's my little cousin's name). Would you still use it?
So please tell me which you like or don't like.
We have a long last name, which is making it harder.

I like all your names honestly. As far as the Grace situation, I would still use it. I have a second cousin with the same name as me. We don't care.

I like them all. But Evelyn really stands out to me--pretty & not common. It is also special bc it is a family name.

I really like Amelia....my husband did not and we decided on Cecelia.
I think Ella is really pretty, and I love Grace...that is what we are using as a middle name!

Love the name Evelyn! It's an oldie but a goodie especially since it isn't popular right now. Grace is also a favorite and if it is one of your favorites, I wouldn't hesitate to use it!

If you name her Amelie, most people (especially any who know her) will get it right. It's true of any name. Even mine -- some people say it with an A sound, some with an O. I don't think some mispronunciation is a good reason not to choose a name. Amelie is just so beautiful!!!

The only name on that list that i don't really care for is Evelyn-which is strange because I usually love old fashioned names.
I do love Evie or Eve though-as an homage to your grandmother.
If Grace is your favorite, I would still use it though.
