Two questions about STAR and the NYC tax rebate
I know there are tons of rumors going around about both programs being cut, but I figured I'd ask anyway.
1-Do you have to re-apply for STAR every year?
2-Did anyone get the NYC check yet which was supposedly being mailed last week?

No, you do not have to re-apply every year for STAR, but you must initally apply.
I do not live in NYC, but people i know that are homeowners there have not gotten their checks.

I thought they had eliminated the extra check as part of the budgeting issues?

I thought so, too, but last week there was an article that stated that Bloomberg was mailing out checks the 22nd.
