Twins: Terrible Twos
I have 2 1/2 year old twin boys who usually play so nicely together...until lately. One has been biting the other and they both have been hitting each other with their toy cars. When I yell at them, they think it's funny.
My husband has been working a lot and my nerves are shot. I feel like I have such a short fuse lately and I can't get anything done around the house because I need to listen out for them in the den. This weather doesn't help...I hate being stuck indoors.
Anyone else have a similar experience? What did you do about it? Thanks!

Time out with you giving them no attention. I put them in their booster seats in the kitchen and set the time for 2 minutes. They try everything in the world to get my attention and I just ignore them. Be consistent It takes some time and effort but they will come to realize you mean business !
If they are fighting over a toy I give them one chance to share nice and tell them if they can't I will take it away.

Hi there, Where do you live? I also have twin boys. Mine are 26 months. We are starting to outgrow the biting although my biter LOVES to bite mommy. I have done time outs & also squeezing the cheeks as well as yes, I admit to biting. I am not sure which worked more then the other...but its slowing down. My other twin (a) is starting - Screaming!! For no reason at all. It's horrible.
Hang in there, I am hoping this is all just a phase.

Thank you both so much! We've been splitting them up a little bit each day...one in the den, one in their bedroom to let each play on their own. I'm going to try the booster seat in the kitchen approach. :)
