Tuesday Evening LIRR Cancellations HERE

The Long Island Rail Road continues to struggle with service after a Monday morning control tower fire halted service on several lines. Commuters heading into and out of the city Tuesday will face drastically reduced schedules; here’s a rundown of the trains that will not be running Tuesday:

My train made an extra stop at Woodside tonight and some guy gets on the overly crowded train and asks "Was a train cancelled or something? Why is the train so crowded?"

they need to update commuters better....email i got said all westbound trains were leaving as schedule suggest, but you might hit delays in jamaica. what a crock, my train was cancelled afterall when i got to penn station.
another reason why i hate the lirr.

they need to update commuters better....email i got said all westbound trains were leaving as schedule suggest, but you might hit delays in jamaica. what a crock, my train was cancelled afterall when i got to penn station.
another reason why i hate the lirr.
i'm all for hating the LIRR 
but i'm signed up for alerts about the Babylon line, and i got emails literally every 10 minutes this afternoon about the evening commute - each one was letting me know that there were canceled and combined trains, and each one detailed a different train. it was too much! but, i have to say that the email alerts definitely give you enough info and timely too - its way better than the website at keeping us informed about what's going on

doing the email update now, thanks. i take the 5;40 to seaford, that train is cancelled every other day so just jumped on train to massapequa, and i was right, they did cancel it..i still hate lirr, thanks for the agreement... if it isn't one thing it is another..........don't get me started on mail and ride ......in 8 months i did not get it 3x....i was about to call newsday, i just cancelled it and will eat the 4 percent discount, not worth the trouble dealing with them....
