TTC Help....

I've been a little absent from this board....been actively trying now for 6-7 cycles without success. So, during my last OBGYN visit for my check-up, she recommended I go in for a progesterone level check-up at a local lab.

Has anyone else done this? Does anyone know where there are labs on LI?

Re: TTC Help....

First, check which labs your insurance accepts. Then, there should be a list on your insurance's website.
I've used labcorp in the medical park on 347 by stony brook in the past and been happy with them. I'm pretty sure there is also a lab on the corner of boyle rd. and hawkins, but not sure which one.

ETA: you have to go at a certain point in your cycle, or the results won't be useful.

I know....I have to aim for day 25-27 in my cycle I was advised, but I want to be prepared.

IT should be about a week after you ovulate. So depending on when that happens would determine the day in your cycle you should go.
SO if you ovulate between CD15-17, then those days would be useful. But if you O earlier or later then they would not. Does that make sense?

Yeah, that's my typical cycle. If it warps from that, I'll wait a week as you stated.
