TTC and K-Y
Has anyone continued to use it while TTC and got pregnany? I know they say it "kills" the little swimmers, but all of them? Just curious if we should completely stop using it in 2 weeks when we officially begin TTC!

The only lub that is safe while TTC is preseed. You can buy it at CVS about $20.00

but yes, using KY is not optimal for trying to conceive.

I don't know if it made a difference with us but I had no idea KY was bad when we started TTC. As soon as we stopped using it I got pregnant - but I also used other methods like Robitussin b/c I had no EWCM, and OPKs to let me know when I ovulated.
When we were TTC #2 we got pregnant very quickly, 2nd month trying, and only used Mucinex (same as Robitussin).

I'm assuming it doesn't kill ALL of the sperm, so it is possible to use it and get pregnant. But the odds are against us to begin with, so why do anything that would lower your chances even further.
Preseed is expensive, but I have grown to enjoy using it even when not TTC. It feels more natural and you only have to use a tiny bit, so it will last much longer than a tube of KY.

Im sure it is still possible to get pregnant while using KY but its not a chance I wanted to take. I switched right away to preseed once I found out what it does to the swimmers.

we've never used any lube... but i wouldnt use anything but preseed during TTC...

shovel out the money and get the preseed!! lol you dont need nearly as much as the recommend so it will go a long way!

We weren't TRYING to conceive, but were open to it if it happened...I used KY, but I use it (sorry TMI) more around the opening and not all the way up inside...we got pregnant in one shot! So I would say you still have a chance, but if you are trying, switch to the preseed!
