TTC after an IUD
I have Mirena, but we are thinking about TTC for number 3 in the future. (We want at least our oldest to be in Kindergarten first.) I've never TTC'd before (because DDs happened very easily before we had a chance to try), and I've never had Mirena before.
If you got pregnant after Mirena, how long before you wanted to TTC did you have it removed? I know they say you can TTC right away, but some also say wait a month or 2 because you could have a miscarriage if you conceive right after because your uterus isnt sufficiently lined.
How long did it take for you to conceive after Mirena?
I don't have periods on mirena, and I do have some cysts as a result of mirena. (one ruptured last month and that was not pleasant.) I'm debating whether I should take it out sooner and go on BCP until I'm ready to TTC, PNP until I'm ready to TTC, or keep it in until I'm ready to TTC.
Thoughts, experiences?

I had paragard- it was removed in Jan and we started trying right away. I needed IF treatment though and we got pregnant that June.

Thanks! Did you know you were going to need IF treatment, or was it related to the IUD?

I had my Mirena out on February 1st of last year. Got my first period a few hours after getting it out  (wasn't expecting it to be that soon, I didn't have a period for more than 4 years while I had the Mirena).
I got pregnant in June. I can't say we really were trying at all, so it wasn't like it took 4 months, if you KWIM... But my cycles returned and were exactly 28-30 days like clockwork.

I still had periods on the mirena after having it for 2 years. My period started 3 days after removal(right on time) and we started TTC right away. I ended up conceiving on my second cycle after removal.

My BFF had it for 3 or 4 years and removed it to TTC. She got pregnant a month or two later.
My cousin got pregnant WITH the IUD in place. She had no idea and when she finally went to the dr. she was 4.5 months pregnant! 
That's not to scare you (I am considering getting the Mirena myself after I have this baby), but just wanted to put it out there that it can happen.

I have Mirena and have been wondering the same thing. I have to take it out this summer because it will be 5 years. We haven't decided if we're going for another kid yet.

Thanks! Did you know you were going to need IF treatment, or was it related to the IUD?
I knew I was going to need it, I'd needed it the previous time I got pregnant. We thought we'd try on our own for a few months before going back to the RE.

I had paraguard and took it out a year before we started trying. It took 8 months to get pg.
