TTC after 40...

I went for all the testing...I am still in good shape at 42 1/2 with low egg reserve which they say is normal considering my age.in fact when I went for testing I dropped two eggs that month...my BF ad I are together a year and a half...were getting engaged very soon and want to try for one baby at least....but not yet...I know im on a time crunch....but It will prob be when I am 43...am I playing Russian roulette waiting...meanwhile im planning my daughters sweet 16..can you say age gap lol....BTW my bf is 28 so I really want to try and have one with him. he says if its not in the ards hes happy with just me and my kids...but I don't want him to regret it 10 years from now....he knows the time crunch and how it could change everything

I say go for it girl! As long as the doctor says your healthy, absolutely!!! Look at all the moms you see now in their early 40's, it is not nearly uncommon anymore and becoming much more accepted, especially with couples getting married later in life.

Im 34 and looking to have my 2nd. In ideal circumstances, DH and I would like to have 3 and I couldnt see myself trying for #3 until about 38 or so. I have NO problem hypothetically being 56 and sending my youngest off to college, but thats just me!

TTC after 40...

I am 41 trying for 2nd. Was 38 when my 1st was born. Go for it.

Just so you know, there is a 16 year age gap between me and my brother and a 16 year age gap between my husband and his brother. In both families these are the only children.

I am too! Just turned 42 and had my first child at 36.
