TTC & working out
So this is my first month TTC. I have no idea if my cycle is normal or not since I've been on BCPs for so long. But anyway, I should be O'ing sometime this week, if my cycle is normal and DH I have been BDing. Of course I know once I do get a BFP I will go to the dr. right away and find out what I can and can't do to keep the baby safe and healthy. I'm sure I will have to limit my work outs. But for now, while we're trying, is it still ok to work out? I don't think I overdo it. I try to get at least 30 min. of cardio at least a few days a week, and some weights too. But for the last few days, I haven't wanted to do lower ab exercises just in case. Is that crazy? I've also read that once your pregnant, you need to keep your heart rate below a certain number, but should I be worrying about that now, or wait until I actually get a BFP?

Re: TTC & working out
I exercise as I normally would. I figure I have been active my entire life and if I stop now it would just send my body out of whack. My RE did not say anything about changing up my exercise and I am very active.

Re: TTC & working out
I have read it's actually good to work out when you are pregnant. I can't imagine why it wouldn't be ok when TTC.

Re: TTC & working out
You should definitely continue working out while TTC. You can also exercise while pregnant. If you don't exercise regularly before getting pregnant, I wouldn't start anything strenuous while pregnant. I have friends who continue to run several miles well into their pregnancy. They just take things slower and listen to their body.
